Kids at Camp 2014

On Saturday 23 August, 9 primary and intermediate kids spent the afternoon at the OSCA camp in Berwick.  After a barbecue lunch, the kids spent half an hour or so in the gym playing games organised by 4 new students, Bjana, Kim, John and Jeffrey. It was a new experience for the students who did a great job playing games including sharks, dodgeball and football. Thanks guys, I hope you enjoyed it as much as the kids.

Parents and kids then ventured with slight trepidation to the water for kayaking. Fortunately, most of the kids had done kayaking before, while others had no problems at all. We strapped the life jackets on and spent the rest of the afternoon with wet bottoms and smiles on our faces. Romero padded his kayak up the creek that feeds the pond, so I instructed Matthew to follow him. They were soon joined by a bunch of the kids. The water was extremely calm, but the creek was slightly narrow in parts. The occasionally stuck kid was easy enough to dislodge.
