OSCA Children’s Christmas Picnic 2011

By Gordon Wong

The OSCA Children’s Christmas picnic was held in warm sunny conditions at St Clair School on Saturday 10 December.  Children and parents alike had a nice time tucking into barbecue sausages and patties among other things.  Lots of hard work cooking was done once again by the Kelsall’s and a surprise visit by Christine Wong to take charge of one of the barbecues.

After lunch, the old favourite games from Chinese New Year, gumboot throwing and tug of war were contested by all the children.  And of course there was the obligatory lolly scramble.

Once again the children were visited by a Chinese Santa or should I say one of his many helpers. This year it was Sin Phua who entertained the children with lots of questions about being good, before handing over presents.

All had a good time and will be looking forward to next December.
