Second Anniversary Celebration

By Adrian Thein

The Dunedin Chinese Garden, celebrated its second birthday on 7th July 2010 under calm clear winter skies. The birthday started a week of events that included lantern making, tea ceremonies and photographic competitions.

The birthday celebration was also marked by our very own lion dancers headed by Regan Young and brief words from Dunedin Mayor Peter Chin.

Attendees were treated with the sight of a peach birthday bun and red helium balloons for the younger members. The giant peach bun remained on display in the tea house for the duration of the week.
