NZCA 2011 Tournament Details

Good Friday, 22nd April 2011 to Easter Monday, 25th April 2011
Other Dates to Note:
  • 18th February 2011: Preliminary Sports Entries from Contingents due
  • 20th March 2011:  Final Sports Entries and Contingent Write Ups/photos due
Majority of the sports over the Easter weekend tournament will be played at the Edgar Sports Centre, on Portsmouth Drive in South Dunedin.
The sports are confirmed to be played at the following venues:
  • Edgar Sports Centre:  Portsmouth Drive
    • Basketball/Miniball
    • Outdoor Netball
    • Tennis
    • Volleyball
    • Table Tennis
    •  Hockey
  • Bayfield High School:  Shore Street, Andersons Bay Road (2min drive from Edgar)
    •  Touch
    • (It is important to note that the touch finals cannot be played on Monday morning as in previous years.  We are unable to commence any field play on any Dunedin City Council Sports ground on Anzac Day which happens to fall on Monday 25th April this year until 1pm so it may coincide with the basketball finals! Depending on the amount of entries, we may be able to play the finals on late Sunday afternoon if there is enough light as daylight saving would have finished by then)

The 2011 Tournament Cultural Show will showcase Otago/Southland talent. We are presently planning an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable concert.

For 2011 Dunedin Easter, we have arranged separate events for the Under 18’s to accommodate for the high school age group (i.e. 12 -17year olds) and for those who participate in the night sports within this age group 
  • Friday 22nd April:  Big Ups Games at Sammy’s

  • Saturday 23rd April: Bowl Line

  • Sunday 24th April: Q Room (pool tables, lounge area & dance area)
