Indoor Netball

You wouldn’t know it from coverage on television, but indoor netball is a very popular sport.

A mind blowing 23 games were played at Action Indoor Sports Centre on the evening of Saturday 23rd April with representation from Wellington (4 teams), Auckland (4 teams), OSCA (4 teams) and Hawkes Bay (1 team). You’re probably thinking there’s been a mistake, but yes, there were that many teams. Even more amazing is that the majority of the players had played other sports in the day time. Obviously they were not just fronting up to make sure their branch was represented.

The evening ran very smoothly. OSCA A did the best of the OSCA teams, but alas didn’t make the semi-finals. Unsurprisingly, Wellington dominated the evening and just like the tournament last year, they came out on top.
